NEW LIGHTWEIGHT TEMPORARY ROOFING SYSTEM FROM LAYHER HAS MORE OF THE MARKET COVERED

A major step forward in the construction of temporary roofing systems is now available with the new, patented ‘Lightweight Cassette Roof’ from Layher.

The system features a roof covering of aluminium/PVC cassettes that can be located on non-system, aluminium lattice beams to provide excellent temporary cover in a wide range of application environments. Significantly, it can be erected by hand where crane facilities are not available – of particular note in city centre locations.

The design and appearance of the system allow it to integrate perfectly on all sites. In each case the translucent cassettes provide access for natural light while multiple panels can be stacked easily without the use of pallets, helping to maintain site efficiency.

“Simple mounting onto all 450/750 aluminium lattice beams allows the new roof to be used with a vast range of scaffold designs and systems,” comments UK Managing Director, Sean Pike. “Rapid assembly is achieved with the proven Layher snap-on claw design while system components also offer the option for multiple application – as typified by the U-profile and shell clamps which can be used for building birdcage scaffolds.”

The new system enhances the range of temporary roof and protection equipment available from Europe’s leading system scaffold manufacturer. It will sit alongside proven and well-established products including the Keder roof and Protect systems.

The advantages in terms of speed and simplicity offered by the new lightweight cassette roof system, the company believes, will now bring the benefits of weather protection – particularly more reliable project scheduling – to a wider range of construction sites than ever before.
